As a co-founder of Engena Ltd, Ian brings nine years of renewable energy development experience to the team having worked in the energy sector for 15 years. Calling upon his scientific background, he has managed the development and operation of renewable projects in wind and PV across the country.

John Fairlie MEng (Hons) MIET - Director

John has an engineering background and began his career in the electricity industry in 1993.He has been involved in the development of over 400MW of wind energy projects since moving into the wind sector in 1998. A co-founder of Engena Ltd, John brings 13 years of renewable energy development experience to the team.  Projects include Rothiesholm Head Wind Farm, Spurness Wind Farm and the Burton Wold Wind Farm.

Jonny Rankin DIP Town and Country Planning, BA (Hons) - Planning Consultant

Jonny holds a Diploma in Regional and Town Planning and a degree in Urban Studies.  He joined Engena in 2006 and has been instrumental in the securing of over 40MW of onshore planning consents. Jonny is currently coordinating the company's ecology studies and managing the environmental impact assessment of a number of projects across England and Scotland.

Claire Hewett BSc - Project Manager

Claire holds a Degree in Environmental Science.  Claire joined Engena in 2011 and is managing the development of a suite of sites across Engena's portfolio, from multi-mega watt schemes to single turbine mid-scale Feed-in Tariff projects for private landowners.

Debbie Scott-Webb Chartered MCIPD - Assistant Project Manager

Debbie joined the Engena team in 2007 and is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development. Debbie manages project development, provides valuable support to both the team and Engena clients and ensures a consistent approach to the quality of environmental statements.
